Scott M. Patrou, Esq.
Born into a military family, Scott has lived all over the country. After settling into St. Augustine Scott attended Flagler College, where he completed his undergraduate studies in Business Administration, Spanish, and Pre-Law. After graduating from Flagler College, he accepted a scholarship to Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, FL, where he attained his Juris Doctorate.
After graduating from law school, Scott was accepted into the Florida Bar and the Middle District of Florida. He uses his passion for the law and utmost ethical standards to ensure the best possible results for his clients.
Scott is currently an active member of the Florida Bar and the St. Johns County Bar Association.
John R. Ginn, Esq.
After graduating from the Washington College of Law at American University John returned to his hometown of Saint Augustine and began working in private practice. Prior to obtaining his law degree, John received a B.A. in Legal Studies from the University of Central Florida and studied Finance and Accounting at the London School of Economics. As an attorney for Ginn & Patrou, John frequently represents clients in the areas of estate planning, business law, real estate law, and related matters.
John is an active member in the community and his family has lived in the area for five generations. John currently serves as an officer of the Saint Augustine Sunrise Rotary Club, as a board member of the Hope for Haiti Foundation, a board member of the YMCA, and as a Deacon with Anastasia Baptist Church.
As a member of the Middle District Court of Florida, John is able to represent clients in matters arising under federal law in addition to Florida law.
Kyle J. Brady, Esq., CFP
Kyle J. Brady is an attorney and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) with Ginn & Patrou, P.A, who focuses his practice on estate planning, National Football League benefits, and associated real estate and business law matters.
Before joining the firm, Kyle graduated from Pennsylvania State University and played thirteen years of professional football in the NFL for the New York Jets, Jacksonville Jaguars, and New England Patriots. During his college and professional career, Kyle had the unique privilege of playing for some of the greatest coaches of all time, including Joe Paterno, Bill Parcells, Tom Coughlin, and Bill Belichick.
After his football career, Kyle attended the Florida Coastal School of Law, focusing primarily on Real Estate Law and Estate Planning. Aside from his legal career, Kyle is an active real estate investor, and has extensive experience working with real estate investors.
Kyle is an active member of the Jacksonville community, engaging with the community through several organizations including the Jaguars Alumni Group, All Pro Dads, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
Jonathan Hermes, Esq.
Raised in rural Wisconsin, Jonathan Hermes moved to St. Augustine to attend Flagler College, where he graduated with honors with a B.A. in Political Science. Jonathan then accepted a full scholarship to study at Wake Forest University School of Law, obtaining both his Juris Doctor and a Master of Studies of Law with a concentration in tax law. While in law school, Jonathan also received academic awards in the fields of business planning, estate planning, and constitutional law, and completed clinical training in elder law.
Jonathan and his family moved to St. Augustine permanently following law school. At Ginn & Patrou, Jonathan focuses his practice on estate planning, tax issues, real estate, business law, and elder law. Jonathan has been an active member of Covenant Presbyterian Church in St. Augustine for nearly a decade, and enjoys participating in missions and volunteer efforts in the local community.
Sharon Maguire, Sr. Paralegal
Sharon joined Ginn & Patrou in 2015 bringing with her over 30 years experience as a paralegal. Born in Michigan, Sharon was raised in Ocala, Florida, and eventually settled in St. Augustine where she raised her four daughters and has been a resident for over 28 years. Sharon attended Florida State University and as a paralegal, assists Ginn & Patrou with real estate closings and title, and other related legal matters.
Sharon is an active member in the community and serves on the board of the St. Jude Miracle on the Bayfront, attends Livingstone Church, and participates in missionary work in the local community as well as in Nicaragua.
